Amazon compliance management: an outsourced compliance department for Seller Central brands

LIVELE's Compliance Management is a $3,500/month retainer for brands selling on Amazon.com through Seller Central. We monitor Account Health and performance notifications, handle policy violations, appeals and corrective actions, and keep certificates and lab documents current for each product category. You get a monthly compliance report and review. PPC is not included. It fits brands doing roughly $1.5 million or more a year on Amazon.

What's at risk in 2026

Account Health Assurance (AHA) now gates two protections, Seller Challenge and Listing Protection. Keep your Account Health Rating (AHR) at 250 or above and you keep the protections that come with AHA.

  • 250+

AHR needed for at least 6 months to qualify for Account Health Assurance1

No more than 10 days below 250 in that period.

  • 3 per 180 days

Seller Challenge re-reviews of listing-level policy decisions, open only to AHA members2

  • End of 2026

When Amazon says Listing Protection reaches all US AHA sellers3

A flagged listing stays live while you resolve the violation.

  • July 8, 2026

Since then, certificates for products under a Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) rule must be eFiled before the goods enter the US4

What we monitor

  • Account Health and Performance Notifications. Every notice gets a named owner, a deadline and a written next step.
  • Your AHR against the AHA bar. We count the days below 250, because more than 10 in the qualifying period breaks AHA eligibility.
  • Listing, catalog and restricted-product compliance. Restricted categories, pesticidal claims in listing copy, required safety attributes and battery data.
  • Suppressed and stranded listings. We find them, fix what is ours to fix and route the rest to your team with a deadline.
  • Document expiry. Certificates, lab reports and registrations are tracked by SKU, with renewal dates on a calendar you can see.
  • Policy and regulatory changes. We log Amazon and regulator changes that touch your categories and tell you which SKUs they affect.

What we own: document custody by category

In the retainer, "documentation, certification and regulatory tracking" means a current file for every SKU that needs one, a known expiry date for each document, and an answer ready when Amazon asks. We don't test or certify products. Accredited labs test, and the brand certifies.

What we own when Amazon acts

The retainer covers "policy violations, appeals and corrective actions" and "compliance case management and risk prioritization". In practice that means the following.

  • Plans of Action. Written from a root-cause review: what happened, what was fixed, what stops it happening again. You approve every word before it goes to Amazon.
  • Case ownership. We open, log and follow up Seller Central cases, and keep the full history in one place.
  • Escalation. When a case stalls, we decide when and how to escalate, and we tell you before we do.
  • Risk register. Open risks ranked by revenue at stake and deadline, reviewed with you every month.
  • Seller Challenge, where it applies. If you hold AHA and a listing-level decision survives the standard appeal, we prepare the challenge. Amazon allows up to three every 180 days.
  • Appeal scope. TODO(owner): confirm whether retainer appeals are unlimited and whether they cover account-level suspensions such as Section 3 or related-account cases (C-096).

Amazon's AI flags it. We own it.

Alerts vs ownership

Amazon's tools are good at alerts, and you should use them. Amazon describes Seller Assistant as a system that monitors a business continuously and acts within limits the owner sets. It also says its systems automatically confirmed compliance for more than 8 million products in the past year (Amazon, September 2026).

An alert tells you something needs attention. Someone still has to decide which document answers the request, check that the lab report on file matches the formula you ship today, write the Plan of Action and answer for the result. That is the work Compliance Management takes on, with a named person accountable for every open case.

What the monthly report looks like

Every month you get a compliance report and a review of it with us. The excerpt below shows the format.

Who Compliance Management fits

Who it’s for

  • Brand owners with Brand Registry doing roughly $1.5 million or more a year on Amazon.com
  • Catalogs of about 25–500 active SKUs or parent ASINs
  • Categories with a regulator behind the listing: supplements, beauty and topicals, baby and toys, electronics and batteries, pest control and pet, grocery
  • Teams of 2–25 people where nobody owns compliance today
  • Brands that already have a PPC agency or run ads in-house

Who it’s not for

  • Sellers under about $1 million a year on Amazon
  • Retail or online arbitrage, and dropshipping
  • Sellers without Brand Registry, unless authorized wholesale at $2 million or more with letters of authorization
  • Vendor Central-only accounts
  • Anyone who wants PPC managed by us, or guaranteed reinstatement
  • Anyone who needs us to use a shared login instead of role-based access

PPC is excluded by design: we don't run your ads, which keeps our advice independent of ad spend and lets us work alongside your PPC agency or in-house team.

Compliance Management questions

What does an outsourced Amazon compliance department actually do?

An outsourced Amazon compliance department does the work an in-house compliance manager would do. For $3,500/month, LIVELE monitors Account Health and performance notifications, owns policy cases and Plans of Action, keeps certificates, lab reports and registrations current for every SKU that needs them, and reports to you monthly. You keep the decisions that are legally yours, such as signing certificates.

How is this different from Seller Assistant or account health monitoring software?

Monitoring tools, including Amazon's own Seller Assistant, tell you that something needs attention, and Amazon's systems confirm compliance automatically for millions of products. Compliance Management is the response: deciding which document answers the request, checking it matches the product you ship, writing the Plan of Action, following the case through and answering for it. If alerts are all you need, a tool costs less.

Do you test or certify our products?

No. Accredited labs test products, and the manufacturer or importer issues the certificate. For children's products, the CPSC requires a Children's Product Certificate based on testing by a CPSC-accepted third-party lab. LIVELE collects the documents, checks them against the listing and the rule, tracks expiry dates and submits them to Amazon when asked. We're not a law firm and don't give legal advice.

Are appeals included in the $3,500/month?

Yes. "Policy violations, appeals and corrective actions" is part of the Compliance Management scope, so a retainer client doesn't buy a separate appeal for a listing-level action. TODO(owner): confirm whether retainer appeals are unlimited and whether account-level suspensions, such as Section 3 or related-account cases, are covered (C-096). Brands without a retainer can use Urgent Case Review & Appeal.

Why does Account Health Assurance matter so much now?

Account Health Assurance (AHA) requires an Account Health Rating of 250 or higher for at least 6 months, with no more than 10 days below 250. AHA members can use Seller Challenge to ask Amazon to re-review listing-level policy decisions, up to three times every 180 days. Amazon says Listing Protection, which keeps flagged listings live while you fix them, reaches all US AHA sellers by the end of 2026.

Do you need our Seller Central password?

No. LIVELE never asks for your password. Amazon advises sellers to give others access through permissions instead of sharing passwords. Service providers register in Amazon's Solution Provider Portal, have their roles approved, and each seller renews the authorization every 365 days. TODO(owner): confirm LIVELE's Solution Provider Portal registration (C-090).
