Amazon compliance document checklist by category
LIVELE's compliance document checklist lists the documents US regulators require and Amazon can ask a brand to show, by category: dietary supplements; beauty and personal care; baby, kids and toys; electronics and batteries; pest control and pet; and grocery. Each entry says what the document is, who issues it, when it comes up on Amazon and where the rule is published. It is free and printable.

A starting point, not legal advice and not a complete list for every product. LIVELE does not test or certify products and is not affiliated with Amazon.
We keep these documents current, ASIN by ASIN
Compliance Management includes documentation, certification and regulatory tracking: a record of each document, its issuer and its date for every ASIN, ready when Amazon asks. It costs $3,500/month without PPC. We don't test or certify products. Accredited labs test, and the brand certifies.
How to use the checklist
Step 1
Filter by category
Choose your category, or several if your products cross categories. The general items stay on every list.
Step 2
Check per ASIN, not per brand
A certificate or lab report covers a specific product, and often a specific batch or formula. Mark each document against the ASINs it covers.
Step 3
Write down the issuer and the date
For every document, note who issued it and when. Retest or update when a formula, supplier, factory or label changes.
Step 4
Print or save it
Use the print button for a one-page list per category. It works without JavaScript.
Where the list comes from
Each entry links the primary source: the regulator's own page (FDA, CPSC, EPA, FCC, the Department of Transportation) or Amazon's. Last verified October 7, 2026.
Amazon's category policies sit behind the Seller Central login. Where an entry says when a document comes up on Amazon, it describes Amazon's published requirement when we could read it, and otherwise the US rule that Amazon's policies point to. Check the policy page for your category in Seller Central before you rely on an entry.
What the checklist is not
It is a starting point, not legal advice and not a complete list for every product. The documents a product needs depend on its ingredients, claims, age grading and components. A regulatory attorney or an accredited lab can confirm the requirements for a specific product.
LIVELE is not a law firm and is not affiliated with Amazon.
Questions about compliance documents
Does LIVELE issue certificates or test products?
No. Accredited labs test products, and the manufacturer or importer issues the certificate. We keep track of what each ASIN needs, flag what is missing or out of date, and send Amazon the right document when it asks.
Do I need a Children's Product Certificate if Amazon has never asked for one?
Yes, if the product is a children's product. The requirement comes from US law, not from Amazon. Since July 8, 2026, importers of products covered by a CPSC rule must also file their certificate electronically before the goods enter US commerce.
My product fits two categories. Which list applies?
Both. A toy with a button battery needs the toy documents and the battery ones. A pet shampoo that claims to kill fleas is a pesticide, so it needs EPA registration on top of the pet-product requirements.
How often should we review the documents?
Whenever a formula, supplier, factory or label changes, and at each registration renewal. A quarterly check of document dates is a sensible minimum.
